Giant Kohlrabi 2011

This year Trevor tried a different strain of Kohlrabi. They are HUGE! The biggest one weighed 17 pounds with the leaves and 15 pounds without. We wondered if they would be woody, but they weren't. They are so good and we decided to grow them again next year. We made coleslaw out of them and just ate them plain. Yummy!

18th Anniversary

This year Trevor and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. The week before our big day, I had the opportunity to go to girl's camp. I LOVED it!! I wasn't with Hunter, which she appreciated, but got to see her off and on. It was a long but amazing week. My friend and I were over the 5th and 6th year youth leaders. We had 30 young women. Trevor came up and was our priesthood on Thurs. and Fri. When we got home Friday night my wonderful kids had the perfect gift. Our home was clean and the kids had bought me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. They handmade us a card, too. Traven had taken the kids to town and they had picked out the flowers. I admit that it choked me up and still does when I think of it. It was the most thoughtful thing.

Little Kelley Cave

After going to see the grand canyon of Kelley, we stopped at Little Kelley to show the kids the cave and where Dad proposed to Mom. It was a fun, slippery climb to the cave. After the cave we drove around past the cress creek parking lot and all of those birds were huddled up against the rain. They looked pretty cool. We had a good time and saw a lot of water.
